About Us
We met in the fall of 2000 at a meditation retreat. It was pretty clear right away that we were attracted to one another. Both of us were certain that a friendship was a necessary foundation to a lasting partnership. Each of us had been in previous relationships where we had learned some valuable lessons. We decided to go slowly and to build a conscious relationship that we hoped would endure. We had a long courtship and took our time getting to know one another.
Here we are, almost 10 years later, still building this partnership. We work hard at our relationship and believe we are being successful.
One of our goals has been to work together. This web site and the services we are offering have grown out of this mutual desire. It is our hope that we will be able to offer support and skills to other couples as they create and nurture their relationships.
We are psychotherapists and work with many couples. We are certified Imago Relationship Therapists. Choosing to do that training together in 2004 was a challenge, and also a great opportunity to focus on our own relationship. Everything we learned was applicable to us professionally as well as personally. We grew a lot closer during that process.
We feel very strongly about the Imago model.
